What happens when the AI is wrong?
Every analysis has a flag button. Tap it, pick a reason (wrong score, wrong source, missing info), and your flag is logged. Those logs are what we read when we fix the system. We don't promise an automatic correction: if it's urgent, email dev@fact-ai.app, and Pro accounts can re-run the analysis.
What happens to my data?
The link you share is processed during the analysis. The result joins a public pool — but it carries nothing that points to you. Delete your account and we remove it, your sign-in record, and every link between you and those analyses; the public analyses themselves stay reachable as de-identified content. We don't sell it. We don't train on it.
Is it really free?
A free account gets you five analyses. Browsing other people's fact-checks in the Feed is free too and never uses up your checks. Like it? Pro unlocks 30 analyses a month and 3 reanalyses. Don't? Close the app — we never asked for a card.
How long does an analysis take?
About 30 seconds on average; long videos can take over a minute. The analysis runs in the background: close the app if you like, and you'll get a notification when it's ready.
Which platforms are supported?
Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X (Twitter), and LinkedIn. For a claim with no link, you can send a screenshot instead.
Where do sources come from?
We don't keep a fixed source pool. For each claim we run a live web search during the analysis; whatever it turns up gets attached to that claim, and the links appear in the report — open them and read for yourself. We don't guarantee any particular outlet. Each claim carries its own confidence rating.
Does it tell me whether a video is AI-generated?
It doesn't give a definitive "AI or not" verdict. It looks for signs of AI generation in the video or image and shows a probability, along with the signs that led to it. In compilation videos it separates the parts that look synthetic from the parts that look real. When it can't assess the content, it says so — which does not mean the content is real. This reading is a separate question from the accuracy score of the claims.
How accurate is the AI?
Claims we can't source are marked "unverified" — we don't fill the gap with guesswork. When a claim turns up nothing, we don't hide it: its card reads "No sources found". When it does turn something up, we list the sources one by one, and we don't decide in advance how many there will be. It isn't perfect — but it beats scrolling through the timeline on your own by a distance.
How do I cancel Pro?
On iPhone: Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Fact AI › Cancel Subscription (or App Store › Profile › Subscriptions). On Android: Google Play › your profile picture › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions › Fact AI › Cancel subscription. After you cancel, you keep Pro until the end of the billing period.
Is it on Android?
Yes. Fact AI is live on both the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android).
